Ground Transportation

If your plans during the Marketing & Distribution Convention call for a means of transportation, Dallas has these resources for travelers looking for a ride.

Uber & Lyft

Harry Reid International Airport has a number of transportation services, including app-based ride share services, such as Uber and Lyft. Lyft and Uber are authorized to provide services at the airport. Use the apps on your mobile device to arrange for a ride. Drivers drop off customers at the departures curbs at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

Local Taxi Drivers

All taxi companies accept credit cards.

The maximum number of passengers allowed in any cab is six, including infants and children.

Travel tip: Remember to jot down the cab company, vehicle number and driver’s name when traveling to and from the airport, just in case you leave something behind.

Terminal 1 Taxis

Taxicabs are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside exit doors numbered 1 – 4. Airport personnel are available to help queue the lines and provide assistance as needed.

Terminal 3 Taxis

Taxis are located outside on Level Zero. There are 15 taxi loading positions on the west end of the building, outside the exit door numbered 52. Airport personnel are available to assist as needed.

On-Airport Car Rentals for LAS

The Rent-A-Car Center is located at 7135 Gilespie Street, just three miles south of the airport with easy freeway access to Interstates 15 and 215 and the Las Vegas Strip.

Arriving Passengers: After collecting your baggage, follow the Rental Car signs to the designated pick-up area on the lower level of the terminal. From there, board the Rental Car shuttle bus. Buses run 24 hours a day, depart every 10-15 minutes and reach the Rental Car Center in approximately 10 minutes.

Blue and white Rent-A-Car Center shuttle buses transport customers on the short, three-mile trip from the terminal. Wait times and travel times to the center may vary based on traffic conditions, construction activity or special events.

Terminal 1 Shuttle Pickup

From Baggage Claim, follow signs to Ground Transportation on Level 1. Proceed to the Rental Car Shuttle stop located outside doors 10 and 11.


Terminal 3 Shuttle Pickup

Follow signs to Ground Transportation from Baggage Claim on Level Zero. Proceed to the Rental Car Shuttle stops located outside doors 51-54 on the west end of the building and doors 55-58 on the east end.

Departing Passengers: Before your departing flight, follow signs to return your vehicle at the Rental Car Center. For transportation from the facility to your terminal, board the Rental Car Shuttle. The Rental Car Shuttle runs 24 hours a day and departs every 10-15 minutes from the facility.

Upon arrival at the Rent-A-Car Center, follow the signs to the Car Return Garage entrance off Gilespie Street. Continue following the overhead signs to the appropriate car rental company. After returning your vehicle, proceed through the lobby and out the main entrance for ground transportation.

Terminal 1 and 3 Departures: Know which terminal your airline uses and board the appropriate shuttle to Terminal 1 or 3. Shuttles depart from the Rent-A-Car Center approximately every 15 minutes. Passengers are strongly encouraged to allow adequate time as travel times to the terminals vary based on traffic conditions and passenger volume.
