Farm Grants for Females, Minorities and First Time Âé¶¹apps
Farm grants are available for female farmers needing help managing their crops and livestock, buying new equipment, seed/fertilizer, or building infrastructure. They can also help farmers establish new farms, expand existing ones, or sustain current operations. Here are four available to females, first timers, etc.
- Minorities and Women Âé¶¹apps and Ranchers Loan: The Women and Minorities Âé¶¹apps and Ranchers Program is designed to give disadvantaged farmers better access to the same opportunities as other farm operators.
- The Beginning Âé¶¹app and Rancher Development Program (BFRDP): This program provides grants to both men and women interested in starting agricultural operations and provides mentoring, business planning, financial analysis, market research analysis and access to capital.
- Farm Service Agency (FSA) Microloan Program: The FSA offers microloans designed to meet the needs of small to mid-sized farmers (men and women) and provides financial assistance to small, beginning farmers/ranchers, women farmers, and veterans, to help them purchase necessary equipment, livestock, etc.
- Risk Management Education Farm Grants for Women: Risk Management grants provide vital resources to female farmers, helping them increase yields and improve their operations. The grant funds can be used towards investments in new technologies, expansion of existing investments, or premium payments on crop insurance premiums.
