Walkabout Mother Bin Receives AE50 Award
The AE50 award, sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural
and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Resource magazine, recognizes and honors the most innovative advancements in engineering in the areas of agriculture, food and biological systems. The products chosen each year save producers time and reduce cost and labor, all while improving safety.
The Walkabout Mother Bin 6000+ Big Red has been selected as a 2025 AE50 Award winner along with other notable ag companies. According to the profile in Farm Â鶹app “A WMB is the difference between harvesting crops at near 100% efficiency vs. the accepted efficiency of just 60-70%.”
How? The Walkabout Mother Bin bridges the gap between a grain cart and a truck by storing up to 4000+ or 6000+ bushels of grain. It enables combines and grain carts to continue harvesting without having to wait for trucks.
To be eligible for the AE50 Award, each development — which could be a component, machine, structure, system, end product or procedure — must embody the application of new technology or the innovative application of an older technology. The technology must be new to the entire industry, not to an individual company. Then an international panel of industry experts in technology, design and product development gather to evaluate the entries and select up to 50 products for recognition.
